Activities
Uddeholm, located in Hagfors municipality, is known for its superb nature. The area offers everything the nature lover is looking for: beautiful lakes, incredible vistas, a rich flora and fauna and a rich history. In perfect peace the Klarälv river meanders through this landscape. Uddeholm has a continental climate, meaning hot dry summers and real winters.
The perfect way to explore all of this is with our History or Nature tour, which leads you away from major roads and let you fall in love with this beautiful surroundings. Or experience an exciting afternoon with the whole family with our family box. Enjoy the overwhelming silences and the beautiful nature on our three days canoe trip.
Guided activities
We can offer you a number of special developed guided summer and winter activities, a beautiful day trip with the canoe, a half days mountainbike tour, in the evening a beaver safari and for the kids an exciting pirate adventure. New this year is our Phototour Livet på landet. We’ll take you to unique places and even show you a
part of the history of this area. Do you prefer to go on your own, you can book a
relaxing day rafting down the Klarälven river: take a bath,
have a picnic on a beach and enjoy the complete quietness in this
area.
In wintertime we can offer you guided snow shoe walks and cross country skiing. Ice fishing is also an option, or even Ice and snow driving. How about a one or two days Snow scooter adventure. If you open the Activity button (left)

Summer
In the summer the possibilities for activities are everywhere. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel are 14 hiking- and 6 cycling routes described. Besides this you can, whether accompanied or not, go on a mountain bike tour, fishing, canoeing, surfing and playing tennis. Enjoy the special experience of a moose safari, play golf on the 18-hole golf course, just on the other side of the lake or go for a beautiful trip with a dressin from Uddeholm to Hagfors.
Winter
The province of Värmland where Uddeholm is situated has real winters, most of the time with snow and ice from December to April. Although this region is not absolutely sure of snow because of the low mountains, the lake is covered with thick layer of ice every winter.
The village of Ekshärad, just 20 minutes north of the hotel, has a small ski slope. In an hour drive from Uddeholm you will find the beautiful ski areas Hovfjället (Torsby), Säfsen (Fredriksberg) and Ski Sunne. Värmlands famous ski resort Branäs, near Sysslebäck is appr. 1.5 hours drive away. In Uddeholm and surroundings are some prepared (illuminated) cross country tracks. Cross-country ski equipment can be rented at the hotel, or is part of your holiday package.
Spring - autumn
In this time you can enjoy the intense change of seasons. In spring the nature comes to life within a few days: all plants are flowering and trees are in full leaf.
The autumn colors birches and maples in gold and red. There are mushrooms and berries everywhere and because of the "Every Mans Right" you are allowed to pick as many as you want.
